Cook your own meals
With incredible fresh produce at the farmers' market and Lava Coliving's spacious kitchen, we really enjoyed cooking almost all our meals on the island. Many nights, we teamed up with other colivers at Lava to prepare a feast together.
Thermal-cooked corn
All over the island you'll find little stalls selling corn that was cooked in the thermal waters of the caldeiras. It makes a great snack when you're on the road.
Jewel of India
This Indian restaurant is well-aware of what veganism means, and has a bunch of options they are able to make vegan. They can even do vegan naan.
Rotas de Ilha Verde
Rotas is a fully vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options, often flower-adorned. We've heard great things about their zucchini cannelloni from a fellow vegan on the island. Photo credit, as sadly we were not able to make it there ourselves.
