AllTrails is our favorite app for hiking. It makes discovering new trails simple, with detailed route information, difficulty ratings, recent condition updates, and photos and reviews from other hikers.
The free version covers most needs, but upgrading unlocks offline maps, 3D previews, and additional planning tools. These features can be especially valuable when heading into remote areas. Whether for a casual walk or a multi-day trek, AllTrails has proven to be a reliable companion on the trail.
