At Schumacher, we offer a range of transformative learning experiences to inspire, and to help you deepen your understanding of both your own living, learning-being, and the Life you are situated within and surrounded by, human and more-than-human.
NEC's view
Schumacher College has long been a beacon for holistic, ecological, and transformative learning. While the college has since rebranded as Schumacher Wild and shifted locations, we had the privilege of attending a two-week short course when it was still based at the Dartington Estate in the Old Postern. It remains one of the most special and transformative experiences we have had in our life.
The courses now continue that same spirit, centering subjects like holistic science, ecology, and regenerative practice. From what we have seen, they carry forward the ethos of immersive education, where the rhythms of the classroom, the land, and the people overlap.
For us, Schumacher represents what education can be at its best: beautiful place, beautiful people, and beautiful learning. If you are drawn to spaces that combine intellectual depth with ecological and communal grounding, their courses are well worth exploring.
