Hội An - Food

Chickpea Eatery

Our personal favorite. True to their name, they make their very own chickpea tempeh. Their bún chả giò (vermicelli salad with crispy spring rolls, pickled carrot, herbs, and a delicious homemade sauce) was our go-to lunch order most days. Read about their vegan cooking class.

Rau Oi Eatery

Another favorite with probably the largest menu of vegan dishes we could find. We recommend their claypot eggplant, Vietnamese yellow curry, and stir-fried baby pumpkin flowers with garlic. Read about their vegan cooking class.

Hub Hoi An

The coworking has a few vegan options you can order straight to your desk, or for the communal lunch. These include smoothie bowls, and a buddha bowl with options of stir-fried vegetables or tofu tomato, and quinoa or brown rice. Read our post.

Hít Hà Cafe (aka Sniff)

A cafe + coworking right on the beach. We recommend their pulled mushroom foccacia sandwich with vegan ricotta and sundried tomato. Their coworking is also nice to try out for days that you prefer to swap out your Hub Hoi An rice field view for an ocean view. Read our post.

The Fisherman

A fully vegan restaurant right on An Bàng Beach, great for a slow morning with an ocean view. We recommend any and all of their smoothie bowls, the fresh springs rolls, and the pumpkin gnocchi.

Kurumi

A fully vegan restaurant with a range of options from different cultures. We recommend their chickpea omelette with mashed avocado and cashew cream cheese, oat coconut pancakes, and mushroom stroganoff with buckwheat and pickled red onion.

Peanuts

A fully vegan restaurant with very cheap prices, vegan mooncakes, and a vegan brownie. We enjoyed their sautéed king oyster mushrooms and fried spring rolls. Others have spoken highly of their vegan orange chicken.

Red Dragon

While they don't have a large range of vegan options, the ones they have are excellent. To start, try the fresh summer rolls with tofu, green papaya, mango, and black sesame sauce. For the main, the stir-fried seasonal veggies with coconut and mung bean curry sauce packs a lot of flavor.

Miss Hoi An

An atmospheric cafe with amazing rice field views, perfect for watching the sunset. While we didn't try any of their food (and aren't sure about vegan options), their smoothies and juices were amazing. A pleasant spot to unplug and slow down.
