Fresco Hábito
Laptop-friendly, Fresco Hábito is a great spot to work from and eat. They're fully vegan and have many smoothie bowl options as well as great toasts. Favorites of ours include their verde & rojo toast and their ganesh smoothie.
Bajo Cafe
With many good vegan options and lots of remote workers around, Bajo Cafe was another favorite spot of ours. We recommend their vegan mushroom pibil tacos. One of their adjoined brands, Peace & Bowl, also has great smoothie options.
Arcana
Arcana is a fully vegan restaurant on the leafy Calle 38. The interior courtyard is a beautiful spot to relax. We enjoyed their rose latte and their roasted chickpea rice bowl.
Plantivoros
A fully vegan restaurant, we had some of best meals at Plantivoros. Their mushroom pozole is fantastic, and we also really enjoyed their pastel azteca. They also have some vegan Korean street food from a separate brand called Voggis.
Falafel Nessya
This fully vegan spot is great for a quick bite to eat. We always opted for their full plate, which is excellent value, but you can also get a pita or just hummus too.
El Bajón Vegano
With locations in both Playa del Carmen and Tulum, El Bajón Vegano is not to be missed. Their vegan tacos are excellent and come with a variety of sauces and toppings.
Coral Vegan Pizza
The owners of Coral Vegan Pizza are absolutely lovely, and both their pizzas and empanadas are amazing. We recommend going with a friend, and they'll let you pick an option for each half of a pizza.
Salvei Vegan Concept
While a bit on the pricier side, Salvei is an excellent vegan restaurant. They have global cuisine options, though we didn't get to try many since we loved their pad thai so much and ended up ordering it every time.
BIO-Natural
BIO-Natural is both a cafe as well as a store that sells a lot of specialty vegan products and natural beauty products. We enjoyed their pastor tacos with fresh grilled pineapple.
Tamales Ciencia Ficción
This is a great tamales cart with many vegan options. We'd return almost everyday for lunch. Our favorite was their frijoles (beans) tamale and their broccoli and lentil tamale.
Ah Cacao
With various locations in Playa del Carmen, Ah Cacao is a chain that has vegan cacao drinks as well as some vegan dessert options. For drinks, they also don't charge you any extra for vegan milk options, which is nice.
Panneria
With vegan and gluten-free cakes, Panneria is a great spot for an occasional treat. Their chocolate cake was our favorite.
Po Thai
While Po Thai doesn't have too many vegan options, the waiters are knowledgeable about what they can make vegan and it's a great spot to go with non-vegan friends when you're craving something other than Mexican food.
Arte Sano
On Isla Holbox, Arte Sano was our favorite spot possibly in all of the Yucatán Peninsula. We came for pretty much every meal we had on Holbox, and loved everything. We especially enjoyed their colorful juices and their chickpea shepherd stew, which can be added to most of their mains.
BaoVegan
In Cancun, BaoVegan has a number of vegan burgers as well as tacos. We enjoyed their carrot pastor taco the most.

In Cancun, Herbívoro is a fully vegan restaurant and great spot for brunch. Their full breakfast, which includes tofu scramble, beans, and chilaquiles, is a hearty start to a day of exploring.
Sol de Maple
On Cozumel, Sol de Maple is fully vegan and a peaceful spot on the island. We recommend their green enchiladas and their chickpea omelette.
Guisados
On Cozumel, Guisados serves meat but does have several vegan taco options. Their pumpkin taco was our favorite.
